There are some good new releases, reissues and restocks this week. The latest reissue 45 on the Soul Brother label Edwin Starr northern soul classic ‘Time’ b/w the x-over Modern Soul ‘Running Back And Forth’ is an excellent double A side record, epitomises the early 70’s Motown sound.
UK independent artist Nye Banfield has made a new Jazz album based on the classic mid to late 60’s Blue Note sound a la Andrew Hill/Bobby Hutcherson. Catpak is a new group ft members from Moonchild and we are back in stock of the hard to find Thee Sinseers CD. Volume 16 of the excellent Spiritual Jazz series focuses on the Riverside Label. Miles Away releases their first compilation ‘Miles Away – One’ featuring lesser known Soul and obscure grooves. There are some great reissues on vinyl including three long overdue Sade albums and compilations of Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack and we are back in stock of many great LP and 45 titles. There is an 8 CD Salsoul Orchestra set covering the Vince Montana years plus good comps of Freddie Scott and Johnny Adams. We also have CDs of Harlem River Drive and Ramp back in on Japanese Reissue.

Earlier this week we put up a good batch of 60s soul 45s which you can see here if you missed, and we also added to our series of 12″ singles with part 15. We featured the first batch of 25 Original Vinyl Soul LPs from a large new collection that we will be purchasing over the next year, there are some great hard to find albums; quite a few sold out immediately and we have added a few where there were second copies to the list. Watch out for a batch of rare and classic Jazz and Jazz Funk albums coming soon.
As always we have a brilliant selection of original LPs and 12s that have been added to the site in recent weeks. This week we added some brilliant original soul LPs in addition to the batches of Philly Soul and Classic Soul we put up recently, plus two new batches of 12″ singles for funk, disco and house fans check them out here and here.
