What’s better than John C. Reilly as himself? John C. Reilly as a computer animated character named WRECK-IT RALPH.
Ralph is the starring bad guy in an arcade game called Wreck-It Ralph. It’s Fix-It Felix’s job to stop Ralph from Wrecking everything. The trouble is, Ralph is tired of being the bad guy. He wants to stop wrecking and start fixing. But he can’t do that in his game, so Ralph decides to sneak into a new first person shooter called Hero’s Duty that arrives in Litwak’s Family Fun Center Arcade, hoping to do something heroic and win a medal. But being the Wrecking guy he is, Ralph ends up releasing the ultimate evil villain of the shooter game, and threatens the lives of all the characters of all the electronic games in the arcade. Check the Trailer:
I love the ‘bad guy’ support group. John C. Riley sounds perfect for Wreck-It Ralph’s voice. The animation looks pretty good, but the concept is great. Jack McBrayer does the voice for Fix-It Felix, Jane Lynch plays Sergeant Calhoun from the first person shooter, and Sarah Silverman is the annoying girl in the ‘Sugar Rush’ game. It is directed by Rich Moore, who worked on TV animation series such as The Simpsons and Futurama.
Shout out to my friend Al at Coffee Stains and Eye Crust for passing this trailer to me.
WRECK-IT RALPH comes to theaters November 2, 2012.
