This dark and slightly disturbing stop motion European version of a ‘Toy Story’ like tale centers on a group of toy friends that live and play together when nobody’s looking. But when their cute little friend Buttercup gets taken to the Land of Evil, they have to rescue her from her captor, the bronze bust called The Head of State.
Like I said, this film looks more on the terms of Coraline, but it looks cute none the less. Check out the trailer.
Stop Motion Animation director Jirí Barta, who was dubbed ‘The European Tim Burton’ put this film together with fellow director Vivian Schilling. English voice actors include Forest Whitaker, Joan Cusack and Cary Elwes.
