Trailer Jive: THE APPARITION

College kids decide to do some experiments to prove the supernatural exist.  And they get more proof then they can handle in THE APPARITION.  Written and directed by Todd Lincoln, it stars Ashley Greene (Twilight), Tom Felton (Harry Potter) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: First Avenger).  Check out the trailer:

I don’t know.  This trailer looks a little scary, but not real scary.  Though I haven’t seen a girl get sucked into a wall for a long time, so that was cool.  But the rest didn’t really hit me with the horror.  Maybe because it’s rated pg-13, the youngins will probably enjoy it.  The film has influences of Japanese horror, but I didn’t find any clues on the net that told me it was a remake of any Asian film.  I’m just glad it isn’t a found-footage movie, at least some of the shots didn’t look like it.  That can break a film more than it can make one.

THE APPARITION comes out August 24th.
