First of all, thanks KEVIN SMITH for putting this up on Twitter, I forgot to look for it this morning.
So, it’s here, The IRON MAN 3 trailer number 1.
We get Tony in his new armor, we get Pepper Potts being kidnapped, we get Iron Patriot looking like a bad mutha’, we get The Mandarin and those blingin’ ten rings, and we get whole sale destruction, plus the end clip. And all the armors being toasted, that was messed up. Not bad for a first trailer. You do get a sense of the story. Ben Kingsley does remind me of Bane giving his monologues, but don’t all villains do the same.
We mostly know that this film is touching on the Extremis story, with Stark worried that he isn’t powerful enough. Hopefully it will also be a heart wrenching story as well as a hyper-action tale. Alright Shane Black, us shellheads are counting on you.
I know Ben Kingsley can pull off The Mandarin with a great performance, but I would have loved to see Chow Yun-Fat or Tony Leung Chiu Wai play the role. I guess Kingsley’s little bald head is perfect for these multi-ethnic roles.
The film also brings back Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, the voice of Paul Bettany as Jarvis, and former Iron Man movie director Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Plus some new faces in the crowd.
The trailer is for the U.K, release, which seems to be in April 2013, but we American folk will have to wait until May 3rd of next year. What do you think? Is it looking good or what?
