It’s a little odd that the poster designers chose those words – “You Will Know Her Name”. I’m just sayin’, who doesn’t know the name CARRIE? Just mentioning it in a conversation about movies brings up images of Sissy Spacek in a bloody prom dress. But it was smart of them to focus on the ‘new’ face of Carrie. A face that’s been made popular by playing Hit-Girl and a deadly kid vampire. Chloë Grace Moretz is the new CARRIE, and with the direction of Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry), I expect this film to be a proper remake. But, as Peirce mentioned in a Comic-con panel recently, they focused heavily on the original Stephen King Book. Check out the teaser. This Carrie makes the 1976 version look like a troubled nerdy girl with a box of matches.
Here’s the official website - carrie-movie.com, but there isn’t much on it yet. As you might have seen in the trailer, CARRIE is supposed to hit theaters Spring 2013.
