STATIC SHOCK – BLACKOUT (Fan Film)

Who doesn’t like STATIC, the comic character created by the late Dwayne McDuffie and others from Milestone Comics?

Well, Writer / Director Stefan Dezil decided to show how much he liked the teen superhero.  Through a successful Kickstarter campaign, Mr. Dezil produced STATIC SHOCK – BLACKOUT, the 13 min fan film chronicling an early adventure of the superhero of Dakota City.  The Story: Daisy Watkins, an up and coming news reporter from New York, travels to perilous Dakota City to be the first to discover the name of a teenage vigilante with paranormal abilities.  Check out the film.

Not bad for a $5,000 budget.  Dezil shot it on a RED one Camera, and it took over a year to produce.  I applaud the production crew for the special effects as well as the film work.  Brother Stefan looks like he’s doing his thing.
