Some of us just don’t know how to make friends. Especially us geeks that find social interactions awkward. May seems to have that trouble also. But being the creative person that she is, May found a way to make a friend. Actually, May had several friends in the film, but either they betrayed her, or May would scare them away with her weirdness. That’s when she takes matters into her own hands in the film entitled – MAY. Check out the trailer.
I give Angela Bettis mega-props for playing such a good role. She looks like Uncle Fester’s sheltered daughter. I think she’s a tiny bit weird in real life, which is cool because she brought her ‘weird’ A-game to the film. Anna Faris and Jeremy Sisto were okay, but we don’t watch a film like this for the stellar performance, we watch it to get scared or freaked out or reach any emotional state thereabouts. I don’t know how lucky writer / director Lucky McKee really is, but he didn’t do half bad with this film. The ending was a good disturbing crescendo. Check it out and tell me what you think. Or let me know if you caught this on TV late at night.
