Bobby Lyle’s second Capitol album from 1978 ‘New Warrior’ features Harvey Mason, Paulhino Da Costaand other great musicians. The title track and the spacey ‘Time Traveller’ are jazz funk instrumentals highlighting Bobby’s keyboard skills. ‘Groove (Ain’t No Doubt About it)’ is a killer mid tempo funky track with a great groove and vocals from Alexandra Brown. ‘Good Inside’ is an uplifting soulful mid tempo track featuring Alex along with a young Angela Winbush. Strong jazz funk album.
