Kool And The Gang’s ‘Wild And Peaceful’ was the album that finally established the band as one of Funk’s premier outfits. It contained three monster hit singles in ‘Funky Stuff’ the much sampled ‘Jungle Boogie’ and ‘Hollywood Swinging’. It is however the album cuts that standout. ‘This Is You This Is Me’ is a heavy piece of Funk with powerful horns, whilst ‘Wild And Peaceful’ is a 9 minute Jazz opus of exquisite beauty.
