Bill Withers brilliant songwriting skills and his deep rich voice combined to make some very memorable songs in the 70’s. The beautiful melodic uplifting ‘Lovely Day’ was a major hit and is still regularly heard on radio. ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ , ‘Lean On Me’, ‘Kissing My Love’, ‘Grandmas Hands’ and the slightly funkier ‘Use Me’ and ‘Who is She And What Is She To You’ are all very strong songs and form the backbone of his songbook. He sings on Grover Washington ‘Just The Two of Us’ and Ralph MacDonald ‘In The name Of Love’ to augment his own recordings. Great easy on the ear classic 70’s soul music.
