There are two excellent jazz albums this week. Firstly from Detroit/|Tribe trombonist Phil Ranelin who has made a great contemporary Spiritual Jazz album very much in the style of his classics from the 70’s. Secondly Modern Sounds of Italy 3 provides a good introduction to the great new jazz coming out of that country. Osunlade creates a very moody album , which is only being released on Vinyl.
The original album series titles comprise of 5 albums from each artist, the Tower of Power set includes their five great 70’s albums recorded for Warner brothers featuring Lenny Williams and is excellent value for money.
We have found a few copies of two of our long out of print jazz vinyl titles. The Teruo Nakamura and Eddie Henderson albums are great records so grab them while you can.
Also check the list of new vinyl arrivals , there’s some great titles included. Check them out here
