Record Store Day 2016 lookback and update

A big thank you for everybody who came to Soul Brother Records on record store day on Saturday. It was wonderful seeing so many of our customers and also many new faces and a massive success our best RSD to date. You can see pictures of the event here.

As you know we always try to have every RSD Soul, Funk, Jazz, Blues and Reggae limited edition releases in quantity and many of the other titles and almost everybody left happy with all their lists fulfilled.

A big thank you to Natasha Watts and Tony Momrelle for giving up their time to sign CDs and Tony’s RSD 10″.

We still have a  few signed cds by Natasha Watts and Tony Momrelle available.

We now have back in stock most of the titles that we ran out of on the day, including Joe Bataan 7″ , Ashford & Simpson LP, Joe Mensah, Bill Evans and Sun Ra LP’s and Incredible Bongo Band and Skatalites 7″ box sets, which are available for you to purchase in the shop.

The titles which are remaining in stock on Saturday including a few Tony Momrelle signed 10″ will be available for you to buy on-line from around 8.30- 9am and on the phone from 8.30, strictly one copy of each title per person.

Please be patient and don’t be tempted to buy RSD titles on Ebay at extortionate prices, when you can get them at RSD shops like Soul Brother – we always extend a friendly welcome in our store and hope that people feel comfortable even just browsing.

Our 25th Anniversary T Shirts and the new Stax and Philadelphia international shirts also proved very popular and you can see the Soul Brother range here.These are available to buy on-line now.

Pressing error on the bonus Eleanore Mills 7″

****Unfortunately due to a manufacturing error the wrong tracks have been pressed on the bonus 45 in This is Eleanore Mills RSD LP. We are repressing the correct 45 and these should be available early next week. We will have copies of the correct single in our shop in Putney and will gladly swap over the 45’s for people who come to the store, regardless of where you bought the LP from.
