Leon Bridges brings soul home to its original early 60’s Rhythm and blues/early Soul sound. Recorded in Fort Worth TX ‘Coming Home’ is reminiscent of the sound that Sam Cooke created over 50 years ago, and has been recorded with instruments true that era. Leon has a good voice and the songs have an uncomplicated feel to them. ‘Coming Home’, ‘Better Man’ and ‘Flowers’ are a good R&B shufflers, ‘Smooth Sailing’ is slightly faster. ‘Brown Skin Girl’ , ‘Coming Home’, ‘Pull Away’ and ‘Shine’ are nice ballads. Refreshingly different album
