Janice were a five piece band led by Janice Barnett who sounds a little like Gladys Kinght.
This good soul album from 1975 includes the crossover modern soul dancers ‘Wake Up Smiling’ and ‘I Told You So’. Also check the uptempo ‘If I Had Known ( I’d be Gone)’ and thr nice mid tempo floaters ‘I Should have Left You’ and ‘take Me Away’.
