Rippingtons’ saxophonist returns with his first album in a couple of years. His tone is very soulful on mid tempo ‘Let it Ride’ and the subtly funky ‘Name Game’ ‘One of These Days’ and ‘When Will I Know’. ‘Stomp’ starts off rather mystical then settles into a nice groove, whilst ‘Hot Tin Roof’ is the most uptempo track which grooves along nicely. Really good album.
