Angie Stone returns with her best album for a long time ‘Rich Girl’ which marks a return to a more soulful approach. ‘Do What You Gotta Do’ a nice organic soul stepper, ‘Alright’ a slinky mid tempo groover and ‘Back Up Plan’ a more uptempo dancer revert to the style of her first couple of albums. The slower ‘Push N Pull’, ‘First Time’, ‘Proud of Me’ and the beautiful ‘Sisters’ give Angie’s soulful voice the space to shine. Really good album probably one of the best so far this year a welcome return.
