Keyboard legend Jeff Lorber is at his best when he plays funky fusion as he does on much of his latest album Hacienda. This album like his last one Galaxy , harks back to the style he established on his early albums on Inner City and Arista. Corinaldo is a driving up-tempo track that features on Eric Marienthal sax. Solar Wind utilises Jeff’s wizardry with plenty of quirky keyboard sounds. Escapade is another up-tempo number. The Steppe, Fats Gear and Raptor are more laid back and smooth. Hacienda is another strong Jeff Lorber album.
