Master keyboard player returns with a fine and varied set that touches upon jazz, jazz funk and soul. ‘Dreamweaver’ explores many sides of George Duke’ musical persona. ‘Stones Of Orion’ is a fine piece of relaxed jazz, whereas ‘Ash Tray’ is a heavy duty Funk. ‘Jazzamatazz’ is spiced up with some Latin tinges and solid Jazz funk groove. ‘Round The Way Girl’ mellows things out in Marvin-ish way, whilst the jazzy Soul of ‘Ball And Chain’ has a wonderful female vocal from Teena Marie. ‘Burnt Sausage Jam’ starts in a frenzy but develops into a slowish Jazz groove.
