‘Keep Your Soul Together’ from 1973 is one of Freddie’s best Cti albums, the title track is a magnificent groove jazz track, whilst ‘Sprits of Trane’ has a more straight ahead approach. Polar AC from ’75 includes a great version of ‘People Make the World go round’. Skagly from ’80 includes the popular ‘Happiness is now’. Listening to these again makes you realise what a great Trumpter Freddie Hubbard was.
