Drummer and percussionist Dom Um Romao recorded these two great Brazilian Jazz albums for the Muse label in 1972 and 73. He is accompanied by Stanley Clarke, Joe Beck, Joao Donato, Mauricio Smith, Sivuca and Lloyd Mc Neil amongst others. Dom Um Romao includes great versions of ‘Cinnamon Flower’ and ‘Ponteio’ along with the beautiful ‘Adeus Maria Fulo’ and theincredible solo percussion track ‘Braun-Blek-Blu’. ‘Spirit of the Times’ includes the amazing Brazilian percussive vocal chant ‘Shake (Ginga Gingou)’and the jazzier fusion cuts ‘Wait on the Corner’ and ‘Lamento Negro’. Superb Brazilian fused Jazz recorded in New York.
