Edwin Starr’s 1971 album ‘Involved’ was produced by Norman Whitfield, and has all the hallmarks of his full on sound. His creativity is best shown on the near 13 minute version of ‘Ball of Confusion’. The Vietnam protest hit songs ‘War’ and ‘Stop the War’ show the power of Edwin’s Raw voice. the 14 bonus tracks include the superb 45’s ‘There you go’, ‘You got my soul on fire’ and ‘Ain’t it hell up in Harlem.
