‘Standing Ovation’ was the Gladys Knight’s second album of 1971 and was also co-produced by Johnny Bristol and Clay Murray and is one of her best. ‘No one could love you more’ is an excellent orchestrated up-tempo dancer. ‘It takes a whole lotta man for a woman like me’ is a great mid tempo modern soul track which really shows of her fantastic voice. ‘Help me make it through the night’ went on to be one of her biggest hits.
