Aquarian Dream were protegees of Norman Connors who produced their Fantasy album in 1978.Sylvia Striplin, Gloria Jones and keyboardist Jacques Burvick were amongst the vocalists. ‘You’re A Star’ is a massive Jazz Funk club track and it still sounds bright and powerful today. ‘Fantasy’, ‘Play it for me and ‘It Ain’t Whatcha Stay’ are also good up tempo grooves, and their version of Herbie Hancock’s ‘Gentle Thoughts’ is a delight. The two step rare groove ‘Do You Realise’ is another highlight. Chance to Dance from ’79 prod by Jeff Lane is a more disco oriented album.
