Kim Waters’ ‘Silver Soul’ is a fine set of Smooth Jazz grooves. Slick tracks like ‘Go Go Smooth’ and ‘Dreaming Of You’ illustrate what the saxophonist is all about. The vocal tracks are very strong. Fans of Eric Roberson will probably enjoy ‘Laying Beside Me’ with his languid vocal perfectly suited to the laid-back groove. ‘Anything You Need’ is graced by a remarkable vocal from Dana Pope and Zendaya sings ‘Fireflies to near perfection too. Strong album that may appeal to more than Smooth Jazz lovers.
