Joe Davis Far Out label celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the original Friends From Rio album with a new project produced and arranged by Bluey’s son Daniel Maunick. Sabrina Malheiros sensual voice leads on the Bossa dancer ‘Vam Bora’ , her father Alex Malheiros co-produced the album and plays Bass and Guitar on most tracks. Denise Pinaud sings on the delightful ‘Veneno’. Ivan Matheus sings on ‘Garota’. ‘Casino Bangu’ is lovely up-tempo jazzy instrumental. ‘Fogo No Chao’ is an instrumental in the style that Azymuth could have recorded, and there is a really good version of ‘Mas Que Nada’. Another Excellent Brazilian album.
