Gerardo Frisina has an incredible Afro-Cuban groove to his music, along with Nicola Conte he is the jewel in contemporary Italian jazz music. ‘Movement’ will please all his existing fans and hopefully win some new ones. ‘Arrival’ , ‘The Talisman’, ‘Selvatico’ , ‘Communications’, ‘Moving Shadows’ and ‘Mystic Latin’ all have that Dancefloor Jazz groove that makes it hard to sit still and listen to this music. However this music refreshes the spirit as well as the feet. Excellent album
