Betty Wright is one of the best known female soul singers and a mainstay of the popular Miami Sound. She recorded for Henry Stone’s Alston label for over 10 years from the late 60’s to late 70’s, having many hits and releasing many tracks which have become popular long since they were issued. Two of Betty’s most in demand tracks feature on this Limited Edition Record Store day 7? single release.
‘Man of Mine’ is her most in demand single , popular on the Modern Soul scene, its original 45 issue now changes hands for around £60. This is the first time the track has been reissued on Vinyl.
‘Smother me with your love’ has been a popular rare groove track since the late 80’s, and this is the first time this track has been issued on a DJ friendly 45.
The single is a numbered limited edition of 500 copies.
