Mirror Mirror is another unissued session recorded by saxophonist Sam Sanders for the Detroit underground label Strata in the early 70’s. It includes the deeply funky vocal ghetto groove ‘Inner City Player’. ‘Face At My Window’ is a lovely lilting and melodic mid paced vocal cut which has a cinematic feel about it. ‘Loser’ features the deep soulful voice of Kenneth Harris and is another breezy mid tempo track. ‘Funk’ed Up’ is what it says on the tin, another funky Blaxploitation groove. Great respect to Amir Abdullah’s 180 Proof label for unearthing this captivating gem.
