Saxophonist Randy Scott returns with his sixth CD. This unashamedly smooth set is primarily instrumental though ‘Make Me Over’ is a good RnB tinged vocal. Tracks like ‘TGIF’, ‘Cabo’ and ‘Copacetic’ (featuring Lin Rountree) are classy Smooth Jazz tunes. On the funkier side check the flowing ‘Potion #9’ and the slower ‘Funky Enough’. There are several wonderfully mellow cuts, the best of which are the gentle ‘Heaven Sent’, the beautiful ‘Jade Mountain’, the evocative ‘Serenity’ and ‘Mellow Flow’. Strong sax led Smooth Jazz.
