‘Body Rock’ from ex-Slave member Steve Washington is the 2nd and final installment of the previously 1983/84 unreleased Aurra project that Family Groove have been working on. Typified by tough Slave-like funk grooves with a hard electro boogie feel the tunes are catchy and underpined buy a rolling b-line that goes right the feet. ‘I’ll Let You Go’ and ‘Are You Foolin’ were issued as 45s in 2015 while the computer-funk of ‘Danger Zone’ and ‘Body Rock’ bring to mind the body popping exuberance of the era. Strong release and incredible sound quality. Lots of club bangers here!
