‘True Stories’ is the strongest Rippingtons in somewhile, indeed it has echoes much of their greatest work. ‘Wild Tales’ starts the album in flowing Smooth Jazz form. Jeffrey Osborne guests on ‘My Promise To You’, a nice slice of 80s influenced Pop/ Soul. The aptly titled ‘Dreamcatcher’ is a strong melodic and radio friendly Rippingtons’ tune and the catchy ‘Reach Higher’ ups the tempo. Guitarist Russ Freeman and saxophonist Brandon Fields are in fine solo form throughout. Their best in ages
