Spanky Wilson’s ‘Doin it’ Originally released in 1969 is a great example of late 60’s Soul and has been in demand for many years, This 180gm edition is the first official reissue of the album on Vinyl. The album includes the popular funky powerhouse cut ‘You’ a killer Sista funk groove with a fat drum beat. spanky’s funky version of ‘Sunshine of your love’ has been sampled many times , as has the intro of ‘Who’s Sorry Now’, used recently by Bahama Soul Club. ‘Loveland’ and ‘That Love a woman should give to a man’ are great mid tempo Soul cuts on this great album.
