Guitar maestro returns with his first set for Shanachie. ‘Let It Go’ combines relaxed instrumental smooth grooves like ‘It Keeps Coming Back’ and the title track with several fine vocal tunes. The Five Stairsteps’ ‘Ooh Child’ is given an up-to-date re-work and features Tray on vocals. The Sisters Of Unbreakable Soul (S.O.U.L) guest on 2 tracks including the up-tempo dancer ‘Living Out Your Destiny’ and Chante Moore is on duet duties on the ballad ‘Holding You’. The infectious instrumental ‘The North Star’ sees Marion Meadows on sax sharing solo duties with Brown, whilst BWB reform for ‘Liberated’. The addition of the Sounds Of Blackness on Michael Jackson’s ‘Man In The Mirror’ concludes a fine set with a rousing finale.
