Legendary Smooth Jazz trumpeter Rick Braun returns with a fine and varied set. Check the Brazilian tinged opener ‘So Strong’ that skirts the funkier end of the genre. On the atmospheric ‘I Love You More’, John Stoddart adds vocals to Braun’s muted horn. The title song is a strong head nodder, whilst the haunting ‘Vila Vita’ features acoustic guitarist Peter White complimenting Braun perfectly. ‘Around The Horn’ contains fine melodies, grooves and playing and is an early contender for Smooth Jazz album of the year.
