The L.A. based Saxophonist, Keyboardist presents his band The Pollyseeds with the Sounds of Crenshaw Vol 1. Robert Glasper, Trevor Lawrence Jr, Kamasi Washington, Marlon Williams and Terrace are amongst the featured musicians which will give you an idea of the quality involved here.

The instrumentals ‘Chef E Dubble’, Mama D/Leimert’ are funky yet melodic ‘Up and Away’ is a slightly more laid back groove but equally good. ‘Intentions’ is a upper mid tempo Soul/R&B cut. There is as very different interpretation of ‘Funny how time flies’ and a beautiful melodic mid tempo ‘You and me’ featuring the sweet voice of Rose Gold. Another excellent album from Terrace and the Ropeadope label.
