Soulful R&B album from big voiced Ali, ‘Get Loved’ is a strong 13 track album with old-skool sensibilities. The title track ‘Get Loved’ is a big, celebratory slice of soul, ‘Cry’ is a dram filled beat ballad while ‘Suffer For Love’ is another big voiced, pleading stepper. ‘Superstar’ is a funk filled dance friendly groover, ‘Switch’ has an 80s feel with some boogie added to the mix while ‘Don’t Say’ has an infectious foot tapping vibe. ‘The Roof’ is another catchy slice of soulful R&B, ‘No Forgiving’ has a slight Luther feel which ‘Grown ‘n Sexy’ is a triumphant, spacious and big groover. Strong album from the soulful side of old-skool R&B.
