RC and the Gritz are a top band of younger musicians that have a Jazzy, Funky Soul groove. Sweet voiced Claudia Melton add another dimension to ‘Never Enough’ a modern day upper mid tempo Jazz Funker with a compulsive groove, ‘I’ll Be waiting’ a funky soul 2-stepper sampling Sylvia’s ‘Sweet Stuff’ the Badu-ish mid tempo plodder ‘Give Me Your heart’ and the lovely floating ‘Lessons’. ‘Feathers’ is a beautiful hypnotic mid tempo instrumental whilst ‘Jelly Roll’ has a heavier grittier groove. Strong album
