I was skeptical about this film. I know all of you were. I’m still a little leery about it. But the trailers that have been coming out have amped up my curiosity.
The Hasbro game inspired movie is looking better and better. At first, it seemed like the Universal produced film was going to be a joke. Up until now, I haven’t gotten much sense of a storyline from the trailers. But the following filled that gap no problem.
I’m not sure how good of an acting job Rihanna is going to do. Actually I’m glad she’s spreading her wings. Who knows, she could be great. But Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård (Trueblood) and Taylor Kitsch (who was also John Carter) are a plus for me.

This clip below is more of an explanation of the plot. Director Peter Berg gives a rundown of what the deal is with these ocean spaceships and the aliens that landed in them. Part of the clip makes fun of the possible corny dialog that is usually a part of these types of movies.
For better or worse, BATTLESHIP comes out May 18th.
