If you have been following me for a while, you will have noticed over the past year that I’ve been changing the site. I moved Geek Soul Brother to a self-hosted space so I could customize it more to my liking, and move forward with my plans for the site. Hopefully the changes are appreciated by new visitors, but more importantly, by my fans.
One major aspect I’ve added recently are the Amazon items in the sidebar and in certain Posts. Yes, I’m going for the money, but I hope you geek brothers and sisters don’t think that I’ve sold out to the man. No, I figured while I try to monetize things around here, I will still keep the focus on you, the readers. So, I intend to feature items that I believe my geeks would love to own. Not just random merchandise, but Scifi, Fantasy, Horror, and other movies and TV shows that I know you already like, or will like. I will even include classic stuff that I might feature in FLASHBACK FRIDAYS or other REVIEWS. And there will be other kinds of items I intend to feature that fall under ‘geek culture’.
Eventually I will create an e-store (or a-store) and also sell my own merchandise. How does a Geek Soul Brother Mug sound to you?
If you haven’t noticed today, I added a menu at the top, and moved things around in the sidebar. I wanted to make it easier for people to navigate and be able to check out some of my highlighted categories.
Stay tuned for more changes – backgrounds and graphics, and more content. Let me know what you think about the site, good or bad. Or even better, I’m open to any suggestions you may have. Thanks for supporting a brother.
