Ladies and gentlemen of the geek persuasion, I present episode 39 of GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE! We started off with a review (with spoilers) of NBC’s REVOLUTION. There were likes and dislikes, but the GSB Crew is willing to give it a chance with a few more episodes. We then pointed our attention to the much more thrilling LAST RESORT. The group didn’t spoil that one too much being that the ABC drama won’t ‘officially’ air until next week. And among the other shows we talked about, we couldn’t help but marvel at how funny and offensive BLACK DYNAMITE was last week.
Also on the my radar was a Youtube series called MY GIMPY LIFE, which I introduced to the group. A comedic and contemplative short series about Teal Sherer’s life as an actress in a wheelchair. Of course I had to also mention AWKWARD BLACK GIRL (which I consider Shu-pocalypes one) and THE GUILD all in the same conversation. Thanks to Tim at SurfingAliens.com.

Soul Brother– please help me– I think I’m going crazy. I swear I saw something in TV Guide’s fall previews about a new scifi show set in the near future about aliens living among us. It looked like the Revolution world– but I saw Revolution and I doubt that is the show. Can’t remember the name or the network– but the aliens looked like a scifi version of the Targaryens from GOT. Do you know what I am referring to– or am I drinking too much green Kool Aid?

I’m wondering if you’re talking about the upcoming Syfy channel’s DEFIANCE. I haven’t seen the aliens in it, but the show fits your description of aliens living among us in the near future when things aren’t so comfy. The show is also going to be told in conjunction with a game by the same name. Hope that helped Luna, and keep drinking the green Kool Aid!
