Hello, hello good people. GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE! is back this week with episode 38. It was an hour and a half of nerdy fun as we did our news, a movie review and spoke in depth about our main topic – Books to Movies, TV and Games.
First, Toby-Wan Kenobi and I broke down why RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION was both a horrible and fun movie at the same time. It seems we were the only ones in the group courageous enough to go and see it.
Then we all gathered our collective reading knowledge and talked about the books we read that became movies and TV shows. This was obviously a huge topic to tackle, because there has been so many Movies, and even TV shows, that have come from books. But we scaled it down to most of our favorite material, both classic and contemporary stuff. One thing we found out; Shu-pocalypes has read a LOT OF BOOKS.
I especially liked that we surprised each other a few times with film and TV productions that the rest of us didn’t know came from Books. We also commented on books that we thought (or demanded) should become either a Movie, TV series or mini-series. I’m including a small sample list below of what we mentioned. But first, here are some news items we presented:
