What’s it like to have thousands of movies at your digital fingertips? How does it feel to be able to see your favorite TV series, or that movie you haven’t seen since you were a little kid? Did you ever think it would be possible to watch foreign movies, anime and whole TV series for free or a low monthly subscription? Those were just some of the questions that the GSB Crew and I tackled when we discussed all the different ways we’re able to watch our media now. From crowded theaters to the boobtube to Betamax to HD Streaming, I put the questions out there – How does all this access affect us and the industry that makes it? We even covered the issue of downloading and it’s grandfather, the street bootlegger. Not that Geek Soul Brother officially supports such infamy, but it had to be talked about.
Joining Geek Soul Brother in the call were my knowledgable fellow geeks – Shupocalypes, MDawg, Toby-Wan, El Camino and The Private. We probably could have gone on and on about the vast topic, but I think we covered the major areas. At least, after listening to this, you won’t be able to say “I wish I could watch blah blah blah”.
