Geek Soul Brother Live: Ep.35 – TV Review with Doctor Who Premiere

Yes!  We finally got to talk about the season premiere of DOCTOR WHO that aired September 1, 2012.  Well, it was more like The Private and MDawg talked about it, and the rest of us listened.  But I got a chance to put my 2 cents in where I could.  I didn’t watch the whole episode (don’t eject me into the time stream Who Fans).

We also went over what happened on GRIMM with Hank and Nick being on the same page.  THE BOOTH AT THE END came to another short season finale with another super cliffhanger.  Trust me, just go find it on HULU and start from the beginning if you have to.  It’s short, only 5 episodes each season, and it’s awesome.  I also mentioned the A & E premiere of the mini series based on Michael Crichton’s novel COMA.

I wanted to fit in some time and talk about the character of Doctor Who.  You know, his fears and passions, that sort of stuff.   But the conversation went a little over.  At least MDawg didn’t sound like he was straight out of the movie BREAKER, BREAKER this time.  Lastly, the pilot episode of NBC’s REVOLUTION is presented on their website.  You can find it HERE.

Let Geek Soul Brother know if there are any TV Shows you would like us to talk about.  If you suggest something we haven’t watched yet, I’ll give it a try.  Because truthfully, we’re all geeks here, aren’t we?  Hope you enjoy.

News items we discussed:

  • The French have developed a HEAVY METAL TV SERIES, and I’m jealous. geektyrant.com
  • Wonder Woman gets the Smallville treatment by CW blastr.com
  • Terry O’Quinn’s character is creepy with a capital ‘C’.
  • Daniel Craig is Bond for 2 more films.
  • … and more news
