It was all about Television in this episode of GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE! My geeks from another Motha’ and I talked about the current TV shows that we are lovin’. Even though we touched on the Disney Cartoon show GRAVITY FALLS in past episodes, MDawg and El Camino got to really give us the low-down on why this show cracks them up.

I shared how much I’m feeling the bad guy named Stanton on ALPHAS, and I also went superhero crazy over THE AVENGERS cartoon which featured The Vision, one of my favorites. The Private filled us in on this past episode of CONTINUUM (season finale is next week).
And finally, due to El Camino, we ended the inaugural Thursday TV episode talking about Sunday kid shows of the past, including COURAGEOUS CAT AND MINUTE MOUSE and the Mainframe Animation called WAR PLANETS (Shadow Raiders outside the US). MDawg gets a good one in on Geek Soul Brother talking about his old age, and El Camino spills the beans on how I stayed so young in the past.
Again, we are joined on the chat by my favorite chatters – Muski and Artemis (who gave me what-for over my WEDNESDAY VERSUS this week on Facebook).
Let Geek Soul Brother know what TV shows turned you on this week. We may end up reviewing it, or just ‘fanboy-out’ over it. Here are some news items The Private and I started out the show with:
- X-Men First Class is going to revolve around Days of Futures Past storyline.
- Christopher Eccleston (Ninth Doctor Who) is playing Maliketh in Thor 2 (deadline)
- Mark Webb might be directing Spider-Man two
- Archeological finds push stone age back 20,000 years. (Huffington Post)
- Guillermo Del Toro wanted a multi-cultural cast so one country wouldn’t be saving the world. (collider.com)
- Prometheus 2 is coming, but Linderloff might not be writing
And just a reminder: the second season of THE BOOTH AT THE END premieres August 6th (next Monday) on HULU. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend it.
You can always listen to past episodes on my GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE TALKSHOE PAGE, and from there you can subscribe to it through iTunes. Leave your comments below and tell me what you thought. As always, I Hope you enjoy the show.
