Geek Soul Brother Live: Ep.22 – THE DARK KNIGHT RISES REVIEW

There was a dark cloud in this show in light of the Aurora CO. shooting.  But we forged ahead and reviewed THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.  All of us enjoyed it, but I put on my curmudgeon hat and pick out some things that bothered me.  Just be warned, there are major spoilers.  Only listen if you don’t mind knowing what happened in the film.  If you have seen Dark Knight, then comment below if you agreed with us or not.

In addition to the Dark Knight Rises review, the GSB crew talked about the TV Show Alphas, Continuum and Black Dynamite.  I apologize for this recording because we actually couldn’t start until well into the show.  The Talkshoe interface was having problems.

Next week I plan on changing the format.  Well, actually I want to make more than one show per week so the crew and I can focus on the main topics more closely without taking 2 hours to do it.  That just means more GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE!  Stay tuned.

MOVIES

  • The Dark Knight Rises – a look at the pros and cons of the movie
  • The Watch – some of us are interested in seeing it.
  • Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai – came out last weekend too, but nobody knew.

TELEVISION

  • Alphas – Season two started this week.  Shu and I talked about how Gary’s autism was taken seriously in the show.
  • Continuum – continues to dazzle
  • Black Dynamite – Panties dropping like rain because of Bullhorn’s rhyming.
  • Gravity Falls – A Disney show that keeps the GSB Crew laughing.

MAIN TOPIC – THE DARK KNIGHT RISES – basically, we all loved the film, but Geek Soul Brother picked out some things that didn’t sit right with him.  Also there was one homage to the 1966 Adam West movie that had me laughing.

Hope you enjoy the show.  You can always listen to past episodes on my GEEK SOUL BROTHER LIVE TALKSHOE PAGE, and from there you can subscribe to it through iTunes.  Leave your comments below and tell me what you thought.
