Hey Geek Soul Brothers and Sisters! Since PIRANHA 3DD (sequel to PIRANHA 3D) is coming out this weekend, I figured why not give you a taste of another PIRANHA sequel that came out in 1981 – PIRANHA II: THE SPAWNING. And guess who directed it? But wait. Watch the trailer first, I want to see the look on your face when you see it (oh.. that’s right… never mind):
In a previous Trailer Jive post of PIRANHA 3DD, I mentioned that they thought about using flying Piranhas. This is where the suggestion came from. And the 1981 version was directed by none other than James Cameron.
I don’t have much to say about this one because I think the trailer says it all. But I know that your curiosity is burning, so you might as well go out and rent this film and see just how crazy it is. There was nothing better than that outlandish 80′s horror.
The film stars Tricia O’Neil, Steve Marachuk and Lance Henriksen as Police Chief Steve Kimbrough. Again, directed (and written) by James Cameron and two others. I thank joenke77 for being one of the only people on Youtube to have this trailer.
