What do you call a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost that star in their own season finale? SCREWED, that’s what. Only this show can give you a triple cliffhanger like they did this past Monday.
(SPOILERS SUCKERS)
Episode 13: IT’S MY PARTY, AND I’LL DIE IF I WANT TO – The most dramatic story was that of Josh. In the previous episode, Josh looses his former fiancée Julia because, while partially turning into a werewolf during an eclipse, she backs away and gets slammed by a car. ’Ghost’ Julia tells Josh that he didn’t have to hide the truth. Then her ‘door’ appears and poof, she’s gone. Now, driven by grief, and informed by his ex-girlfriend Nora, Josh finds out that killing the werewolf that bit him would cure him and her both, Josh sets out on a mission to kill his maker – Ray. Which is awkward because Ray just confessed how better his life was, and that he got back with his wife and children, (all because of inspiration from Josh).

Aiden, on the other hand, feels that the only way he can be with his only love – Suren, is to kill her mother and free them of her rule. He enlists Henry to help him initiate a plan to catch the queen right after she’s fed, her most vulnerable moment. But the plan doesn’t go well, as Henry gets hung from a meat hook, and Aiden is ambushed. The queen brings Aiden in front of Suren and the council. Mamma asks Suren to prove her loyalty and kill Aiden with a stake to the heart. Suren tries to get out of it, but her mother realizes there is no use in trying to make her into a leader, so she stakes her own daughter instead. Enraged Aiden almost chokes her out, but is stopped.

Meanwhile, Sally can’t ‘live’ with the knowledge that the people she shredded are caught in limbo (shredding being a way of ‘killing’ a ghost). She asks her ghost mother to send her to limbo by shredding her, hoping that she can find a way back out and bring the others with her. Sally’s mother refuses to do that to her own daughter. Suddenly Mrs. Malik’s door appears to the pearly gates. Sally, in a desperate state, asks her mother if she can use her door instead so that she can travel to limbo that way. But as her alter-ego the Reaper says, it would only be risking insanity for her mom. Sally comes to her senses and shreds herself. Who knew?
The last 5 minutes leaves us with the jaw dropping scenes of nothing but air between Josh’s head and the talking end of a shotgun, with Ray on the trigger. But Nora is also holding a six-shooter on Ray. Aiden is being buried alive for what we conclude is eternity by Suren’s Mother. And poor Sally is making a long-distance call for help to an empty house over the radio, confessing that she may have made a horrible mistake.
The good news is that SYFY Channel has already renewed the show for a third season.
