Asylum, masters of the modern b-horror movie, has reached new heights in all time lows with the incredibly bad film – NAZIS AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH. This cinematic accident that you can’t take your eyes from is obviously riding the coat-tails of the recently released IRON SKY.
An Antarctic research expedition stumbles upon a hidden facility in the ice. It’s run by Nazis from WWII. The group fall victim to the Nazis evil experiments, and are even used to achieve their ultimate goal.
Like most truly awful B Movies, the worse they are, the more they may entertain you with their ridiculousness. And by that definition, NAZIS AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH should be very entertaining.
Dominique Swain and Jake Busey headline this Netflix streaming tragedy, with a host of other bad actors. My guess is that the cast and crew mostly knew that this was a silly film, and even though they ham’d it up, they still played it straight, which made it painful to watch and funny at the same time.
This sci-fi horror has it all – the writing, acting, camera work, directing, and special effects were horrible. And it had really bad editing (for you post-production filmmakers out there). There are some great examples of how NOT to make a movie in this one.
Now why would I even dare to remotely suggest you watch is film? It’s not every day that you get to see rotting body-part stealing Nazis, Phaser-Lugers, and a flying Nazi spaceship with a built-in EMP weapon. I don’t want to spoil the best (and worst) reason to watch this film, but the republicans were right, using embryo stem cells could bring about the destruction of the planet. If you get a kick out of those bad Syfy Channel movies that come on Saturdays, you should really love this one. That’s it for my B-Movie Boogie Review.
