Superherohype.com reported some international theatrical estimates that were provided by Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios. So far, estimates say that THE AVENGERS have made $73M in sales from Wednesday to Friday this week (What will the weekend figures look like?). Some of the top countries were Australia, UK and France. They said the numbers didn’t include Russia, China or Japan.
I wonder what the numbers will look like here in the States? They only need $170M to be in the number one spot for Highest Opening Weekends of all time. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s going to be a repeat-goer that weekend.
THE AVENGERS hits theaters in the USA on May 4.

Believe the hype, GSB – it deserves every penny of it’s box office take.
As far as pure fun goes, this film is in a class of its own. I’m going to see it again on Monday and I can’t wait…
